Release deployment

May 29, 2009 at 7:20 AM

Hi,

I started discovering WSS3 Workflow Tools, this seems very promising, I like it ! One question however about deployment. The tutorial videos presents a custom way of deploying in a dev environment. What would be the best way to deploy in a non dev environment ? I did not find it in the videos, neither in the sample solution nor in the previous dicussions...

Thanks for your advice !

The WSP is installed on your dev box in the installation folder. Just take that and publish it into the production environment.

Wouter,

Sorry but I think I was not clear. I was not asking about deploying WSS3 Workflow Tools itself, but the developments using it (for example the Sample Solution : after building it I cannot find a wsp ?).

Thank you for your quick answer !

You should build your WSP using any technology you prefer.

- WSP builder
- VSeWSS

Personally I use MSBuild customizations to create WSPs.
