worflow crashes when I include TaskListContentTypeId

Nov 17, 2009 at 10:35 PM

Hi,

I've tried to create a simple workflow that uses hosted task controls and were following the 3rd video, except that I used

wspbuilder project. The problem is that as soon as I add TaskListContentTypeId="0x010801004E4FD5D508784092AA20394584759B99"

and try it  the workflow doesn't even seem to get run. It goes to the page where it says that it's starting and then nothing, nothing in the history list...

If I remove this, it runs - simple wf I have just writes a line to history list.

Any ideas ?

Have you checked the error logs to see if an exception was logged?

Can you post your entire workflow.xml file?

I am a total newbie at sharepoint, where do I find the error logs?
Thanks for your help!

I found the logs here:

C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Server Extensions\12\LOGS

but frankly I don't see anything related to this workflow here...

I've uploaded the log here: http://testsip.sipt.si/sharepointlogs.zip

It looks like the workflow.xml metadata file is using an older format of the metadata.  We made a change from Task0_FormUrl to Task_0_FormUrl.  I believe the video was made before that change.

Have you looked at the sample application that we ship with the toolset?  That might be the problem.

I've compared the metadate from your sample to mine and made it pretty much the same and it started working. Not quite sure which of the settings was it, but it's working now ! Tnx!
